Summary:
Pixar (Toy Story, A Bugs Life, and Monsters Inc.) teams up with the magic makers at Disney to create a light-hearted story about a single father and his adventurous son. As a tiny clownfish, Nemo finds the Great Barrier Reef to be full of mystery and danger.  On his first day of school, Nemo defies his father (Marlin) and swims off alone to investigate a boat, he is suddenly scooped up by a diver as Marlin helplessly watches. Marlin turns desperate as he frantically swims off in search for his son. As he passes a school of fish he bumps into Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), an agreeable blue tang with severe short-term memory loss, who offers to help. Together they comb through the Great Barrier Reef finding adventure, fame, and notoriety along the way.

Review:
Not many movies are a lock at the box office nowadays but when Pixar and Disney team up, you come to expect absolute magic. To Pixar's credit the textures of the animation are stunning and they have certainly outdone themselves once again. Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres turn in great narrative performances bringing to life their characters and this beautiful tale on a pint-sized level. Giving these underwater creatures anthropomorphic traits (giving human traits to animals) and light humor, Pixar effectively caters to a massive demographic. Most likely to be one of the top grossing movies of the year, Nemo with its CG eye candy and comical storyline is highly recommended to children of all ages. Adults might find this plotline a little simple and disengaging, but anything with a sense of originality in the Summer of the Sequel can prove to be entertaining.
